Dragnet: The thrill ..Expand....
Dragnet teams are dropped off at a mystery location around midnight on the Friday night, where they are given three life cards, a boundary map which also details their destination.

Both the set off point and the destination are a closely guarded secret, only a selected handful of organisers are in the know..........

The aim of the competition is to arrive at the destination as close to 11:00 on the Sunday morning with all three life cards, the destination as a rule 25-35 mile from the start point. Walking is the only permissive mode of transport.
To make life a little more challenging during the weekend, Catchers (Leaders) go out and try to take life cards from the teams.
This is a challenging exercise where the teams have to avoid capture, endure the Cumbrian weather, and walk 30-40 miles through the Lake District.

Comments from an Inglewood explorer scout after Dragnet:
At the time it's tiring and it hurts, and you're wet and sore, but afterwards looking back it's hilarious, and during a chase or hiding in the dark, your adrenalin level soars and your blood pounds in your ears, while you struggle to steady and quieten your breath. Dragnet is an absolute must do in your life. It's brilliant!
